How you'll make a difference:

The Manager, Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our day-to-day operations within the Office of the Deputy Secretary. This varied position will be responsible for establishing and implementing new processes for the division, coordinating various operational tasks including corporate reporting, monitoring and reporting on high priority issues and providing support to the Deputy Secretary on strategic matters such as workforce planning. This role will also support the department's move to the business partner model.

The Manager will lead a small team and act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. Working closely with the Principal Strategic Advisor, this position will be a rewarding position for anyone who is process-driven and enjoys working within a dynamic environment.

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a similar coordination or project management role
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of work
