  • x6 Full time or part time maximum term position up to June 2025
  • Salary based on experience, range: $76,426 - $98,901 (pro rata) plus super
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Legal Help team to provide accurate, responsive and high-quality legal assistance by delivering legal information on a wide range of legal matters and referrals to legal and non-legal services via our phone and webchat services. This position does not require you to provide legal advice and does not involve ongoing case work or court advocacy.

This is an opportunity to be part of a unique service providing an accessible and holistic intake and referral triage service aimed at ensuring that Victorians are provided with the appropriate supports to assist them with their legal needs.

Prior experience will be highly regarded and are encouraged to apply if you have:

  • Experience in high volume service delivery.
  • Volunteered/worked at community legal centres.
  • Are currently studying law.
  • Experience working as a paralegal/ legal assistant.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country

  • Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to identify legal matters to accurately assess and address client needs.
  • Understanding of the key challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and groups experience accessing legal services.
  • An understanding of the referral service practice and knowledge of legal, community and welfare organisations.
  • The ability to assess and balance priorities and work under limited supervision.
