SENIOR OFFICER, RECORDS AND TRAINING (Full time, Permanent role) (AV 3)

We are seeking a suitably qualified Records Management professional to join our Records Management Department in the role of Senior Officer, Records and Training. This is a Full Time Permanent position currently based at either Blackburn North Business Centre or Ballarat Business Centre. Successful candidate will be able to commence from home in accordance with Ambulance Victoria's current hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Records Management Team Leader, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of records management policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with all relevant records management legislation;

• Assist with the records management strategy and identification, planning and implementation of records management research and projects to ensure our information is managed systematically and in accordance with relevant standards;

• Use the well-defined records management service delivery framework to deliver ongoing recordkeeping awareness training, and technical and user support documentation and information via AV's various communication platforms;

• Provide technical knowledge in the development of records management training sessions and training manuals content; and

• Maintain AV's compliance with legislative and statutory obligations relating to the keeping of records by completing accurate and up to date information in the official AV recordkeeping database; create, store, maintain, retrieve and dispose of records captured in the recordkeeping system.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant industry certification with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience. Specifically, your key attributes include:

• Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of the Public Records Act;

• Well developed understanding of Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) Standards and Guidelines;

• Knowledge and practicable experience in the use of an electronic document and records management system (EDRMS), preferably Content Manager;

• Familiarity with web-based applications for delivery of information and knowledge management;

• Practicable training experience and/or high quality training skills;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.

The AV grade salary range for AV3 position is $79,172 - $93,690 plus 10% superannuation. Salary on commencement is offered at the base of the AV grade.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
