About the role

Ambulance Attendants provide care and transport to Non-Emergency patients. The primary objective of this role is to provide an effective and efficient service in the transport of Non-Emergency pre and post hospital patients between home and medical facilities, to assist in achieving service goals and targets relating to Non-Emergency transport.

Depending upon location, the rosters fall between the hours of 6am and 8pm Monday to Sunday and are eight or ten hours in duration. The successful applicants will be required to drive and operate all current AV operational vehicle types.

About you

To apply for the positions, applicants must hold a Diploma of Emergency Health Care or equivalent and a minimum of 400 hours of supervised clinical practice completed within a two-year period.  A current Victorian driver licence is also essential along with mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations.

Due to fatigue management, applicants are required to live within 45 – 60 minutes' drive from the work location.

All successful applicants must be available to attend a four -week induction program in Metropolitan Melbourne. The induction will be based around office hours, Monday to Friday for the duration of the program.

Successful applicants must provide evidence of being fully vaccinated (with booster) against COVID-19 and be willing to complete a pre-employment screening including a police check.

The base salary, starts at Year 1, $81,545 per annum, pro-rata in alignment with the AMBULANCE VICTORIA OPERATIONAL EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS  (2020 Enterprise Agreement)  plus super.
