Position Details

Ambulance Victoria's (AV) mission is to improve the health of our community by delivering innovative, high quality ambulance services. 

As a team of injury management and transition specialists who are passionate about what they do, the ADAPT team sits within the wider People and Culture business area.

This is a full time, permanent position currently based in Doncaster.


Ambulance Victoria is currently seeking a suitably experienced administration support officer/coordinator in the position of Senior Officer, ADAPT. This position will support the team by coordinating safe/alternate duties  as well as provide administration support to the wider team.

The role will have a mix of BAU and project tasks, and you will be required to–

 Take ownership of the coordination of safe duties within AV and provide advice to staff, peers, managers on the options, obligations, and processes for safe duty placements

Prepare professional documents on sensitive issues for consideration by internal and external stakeholders

Assist in the development of organisational wide communications and educational materials

Gather and lodge Work Cover claims forms and certificates, as well as provide the insurer with payroll and personal information, as required


Suited to someone who is self-driven and prides themselves on their interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask, we are seeking candidates with a strong background in HR administration and/or Return to Work. The ideal candidate will have:

Demonstrated experience in providing administration and coordination support to a team of specialist in a large, complex organisation

An understanding of worker's compensation legislation & relevant practices including the administration of WorkCover claims pay calculations

Proficient use of I.T systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Teams

A combination of relevant experience and training in HR support function. *Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline would be advantageous, but not required.

The position is graded at AV3. The AV grade salary range for AV3 position is $80,755 – $95,564 plus 10.5% superannuation. Salary on commencement is offered at the base of the AV grade.
