AV is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to support our Organisational Logistics Department.
This full time, permanent position can be undertaken at one of AVs 5 Support Centres across Melbourne.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Supervising the Fleet Management Centre (FMC) and Logistic Support Staff (LSO), the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator ensures users of AV vehicles and operational equipment receive first level support & communication.
Reporting to the Lead Fleet Operations, the responsibilities of the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the Fleet and Logistics services teams in day to day vehicle maintenance activities
- Complete complex and central coordination tasks, quality checking, performance reporting; and analysis of fleet and logistics service team activities
- Meet a broad range of operational reporting requirements, identifying risks and providing solutions that will enable service and quality standards (KPIs) to be met infield as well as accurately reported within the Electronic Fleet System
- Maintain continuous improvement philosophies by reviewing processes, procedures and implementing streamlined solutions
- Maintain timely and compliant communication across varied teams including Paramedics, Support Centre Staff and Operations, AV rural workshops and the Fleet Operations Coordinator
- Mentor and coach staff to improve the group's efficiency and quality of work
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- Completion of relevant industry certification, with proven subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience
- Significant experience leading a fleet administrative environment with asset maintenance computer systems.
- Competent with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated understanding of Diesel engines and RWC standards.
- Initiative to identify and ensure that appropriate courses of action are taken to affect quality repairs and scheduled maintenance activity in a timely manner
- Lateral thinking behaviour that recognises multiple activities / multi-tasking and a dynamic environment
- Integrity and judgement to maintain and promote ethical and professional standards through their own behaviour and work ethics

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
This position is graded an AV4 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement AVMA.
