AV is seeking an experienced pharmacist to provide support for our Operational Logistics Department. This is a full time, permanent position. This role will be responsible for the delivery of medicines to branches across Ambulance Victoria, ensure compliance with Ambulance Victoria policies and state regulations.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Pharmacist, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
- The delivery of medications to metropolitan and rural AV branches according to delivery schedule,
- Participate in projects and research relevant to the service area and present outcomes at relevant professional forums,
- Proactively identify conditions that might cause heath or safety hazards and take action to remove such hazards,
- Work with the Senior Pharmacist to ensure AV processes and practices are compliant with appropriate legislation and best practice evidence.
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy with proven subsequent relevant experience,
- An AHPRA Pharmacy registration,
- Full Victorian Driver's License required.
It is expected that you have the ability to work effectively in interprofessional teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also need to be available to work 40 hours per week from 4x 10-hour days with the ability to participate in weekend, late-shift and on-call rosters when required.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
Successful applicants will need to have received the mandated COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to complete pre-employment screening including a Police Check.
This position is in line with Medical Students, Pharmacists, and Psychologists Victorian Public Sector (Single Interest Employers) Agreement 2021-2025 – Grade 1 Year 6.
