We are seeking an Advisor Human Resources to provide professional and effective HR services including advice, support, guidance and analysis on policies, practices, and legislation as an important part of our People and Culture Department.
This is a full-time, permanent position. WFH/Hybrid options are available in line with our hybrid working model. It is essential that the successful applicant must be willing to travel to Burwood, Essendon and across the Gippsland region as required.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior People Partner, responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:
- Provide professional and effective HR services across AV including advice, support, guidance and analysis on policies, practices, and legislation
- Coach, counsel and guide managers and employees on employment matters at AV including effectively managing conflict situations and challenging issues
- Provide HR expertise and recommendations on research and/or projects
- Develop and implement communication and consultation strategies to keep stakeholders informed throughout projects and consultations
About you
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline. Additional requirements include but not limited to:
- Proven experience in a senior general or specialist HR role, preferably across the public sector
- Demonstrated ability to adapt theoretical knowledge of current HR issues and lead implementation of change across a large, geographically disparate organisation
- An extensive working knowledge and application of general and specialist HR practices, regulations, and legislation
- Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
