We are seeking aLead, Audit and Risk Analysis and Reportingto establish, implement and continuously improve integrated enterprise risk and audit framework, processes and systems to support Ambulance Victoria within the Audit and Risk Department.

This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster HQ in line with our hybrid working model. 

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Design and implement integrated enterprise risk and audit processes and systems for effective identification, assessment, treatment and reporting of organisational risks and audit actions
  • Structure and systematise risk data to enable real-time interrogation and reporting on mission-critical risks and drivers, and to identify control gaps and deficiencies to inform control testing and Internal Audit planning
  • Write compelling and insightful briefs and reports for Executive and Board audience
  • Drive innovation that contributes to AV's risk maturity and increased risk awareness through tailored systems, processes, training, communications, and methodologies
  • Act as Policy Lead for select internal controls policies and frameworks, ensuring they are embedded across the organisation, regularly updated with changes clearly communicated and reported on as required
  • Manage the internal audit contract between AV and the Service provider including KPI management and performance reviews
  • Ensure optimal performance of relevant risk processes, including the distribution, access, interpretation and accuracy to internal stakeholders

About you

be considered for this position you will possess:

  • Completion of a degree or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) in Risk Management, Audit, Law, Financial or Business Management, or a related discipline with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience
  • Professional Accreditation in Risk Management or Internal Audit (desirable)
  • Demonstrated significant experience in at least two of the following areas: risk management, audit and/or insurance
  • Experience designing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing contemporary business intelligence and reporting suites using structured data
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to gain acceptance and support of ideas, the co-operation of others in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to enable ideas and opinions to be articulated clearly, and to execute well-structured and compelling reports dealing with detailed, complex and technical concepts for different levels of key stakeholders
