We are seeking a Property Leasing Coordinator to provide coordination, specialist advice and recommendations in the development and delivery of asset leases, licenses, and agreements for Ambulance Victoria. This is a Full Time, Permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Blackburn/Doncaster or another Corporate Facility in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role
Reporting to the Property Manager, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:
- Proactively manage upcoming and expired leases to ensure continuity of occupation and compliance, and Resolve issues arising from lapsed or overdue lease renewals and bring agreements back into current status
- Coordinate the lease renewal program to ensure AV's property asset leases, licenses and agreements remain current
- Act as a point of contact for landlords, addressing queries, resolving issues, and negotiating variations or renewals as required
- Develop, maintain, and undertake in-depth analysis of property asset information (including the lease register)
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements relating to the function of the Leasing unit
- Prepare detailed reports, Board papers, business cases and other relevant documentation
- Analyse market data to identify opportunities for cost optimisation, ensure competitive positioning, and support informed decision-making in lease negotiations
- Provide landlord management and relationship oversight to ensure compliance with lease obligations and maintain positive, collaborative partnerships
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in Property Leasing and building stakeholder relationships to deliver commercially sound outcomes
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legal processes relating to property leases, licences, and agreements, including relevant legislation such as the Retail Leases Act 2003 and Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978.Key selection criteria
- Sound financial acumen and understanding of retail and commercial property markets
- Advanced negotiation skills across both commercial and residential real estate contexts
- Well-developed written communication skills to prepare accurate and well-structured correspondence, Business Cases and Board reports, including the ability to research and collate relevant information
