Position Details

Ambulance Victoria's mission is to improve the health of our community by delivering innovative, high quality ambulance services.  Ambulance Victoria (AV) is now recruiting for a Maintenance Coordinator to join the Property Services department, within the Corporate Services division.  This is a fixed term, full time position until November 2020, based out of AV's Blackburn North headquarters.


About the role

Reporting to the Manager Property Maintenance Compliance & Security, your responsibilities and duties will include, (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a key point of contact for emergency and non-emergency maintenance needs;
  • Tailoring scopes of works and coordinating all maintenance requirements;
  • Communicating maintenance activities to stakeholders and consulting decision makers as required;
  • Fostering strong working relationships with Team Managers and Business Managers, providing tools and support to undertake annual maintenance surveys to assist with strategic maintenance planning and activities for branches
  • Developing and maintaining the preferred maintenance supplier register, and participating in the tender management and pricing process;
  • Inspecting properties and preparing maintenance reports, particularly in relation to OH&S issues; and
  • Risk management and ensuring compliance with AV policies, OH&S, and other legislative frameworks


About you

To be considered for this role you will need demonstrated facilities management experience, managing and maintaining building infrastructure in the commercial sector.  This will include a working knowledge of building regulations and State Government procurement processes.

Using your communication and negotiation skills, you will build relationships and enjoy the challenge of prioritising, organising and problem solving to meet business and customer requirements.  This is a busy role requiring an ability to work both independently and as part of the property team. 

Due to the nature of these positions, a current Victorian driver's licence and the willingness to travel is required.  A tool of trade vehicle will be supplied.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
