We are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide coordination and program support to the Data & Insights team. This is a Full Time/Permanent position currently based in Doncaster.

About the role

Reporting to the Director Data & Insights, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement and manage systems and processes to support the smooth operations of the Division
  • Prepare general correspondence, documents, briefs, business cases, reports and presentations on behalf of the Director and direct reports and provide high level support, including maintaining and following-up on action items, preparation of agenda items and supporting documentation;
  • Diary management including filtering, prioritizing and organizing meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Director;
  • Develop appropriate procedures and controls to enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of work to support the Director Data and Insights in their role and responsibilities; and
  • Undertake research and analysis and source and collate necessary materials to facilitate the preparation of reports, documents and business cases as required and manage systems to coordinate and track the high number of reports and papers that need to be generated and provided on a regular basis, ensuring that the reports meet required quality standards, are consistent and meet required timeframes.

About you

Extensive experience in Business Support roles providing business and support for senior management

To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing business support documentation and registers and coordinating reporting and developing and maintaining support systems and processes
  • Experience working autonomously with minimal supervision, in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding and experience in regulatory, Government and public sector environments
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency of Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel and familiarity with Internet applications
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to prepare accurate, clear and concise documents and reports at a level required for presentation at an Executive and Board level and the ability to interact effectively across the organisation and to ensure information is conveyed clearly and accurately
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight timelines, including strong planning, organizing and time management skills to prioritise tasks, manage conflicting priorities and achieve outcomes within required timeframes
  • Judgement to ensure matters of a confidential or sensitive nature are handled appropriately, including maturity to deal diplomatically with matters of a sensitive nature
  • Strong attention to detail using appropriate checking processes to ensure information is recorded

The position is graded at AV3. The AV grade salary range for AV- 3 position is $79,172 to $93,690 (pro-rata) plus 10% superannuation. Salary on commencement is offered at the base of the AV grade.
