Community Correctional Services (CCS), part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety, plays a vital role in managing individuals on parole, post-sentence supervision, and court orders. About the role

As the Supervisor, you will work across both the Drug Court and Court Assessments and Prosecutions (CAPS) teams. You will lead a dedicated team of CCS staff and provide integral advice to the stakeholders and participants of Drug Court and CAPS.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

• Guide, mentor and develop a multi-disciplinary, high-performing team
• Manage resources and activities across CAPS and Drug Court to ensure consistency with operating procedures and legislative requirements
• Provide expert court advice to staff and stakeholders
• Drive timely, high-quality service delivery and reporting
• Develop and maintain key relationships with service providers, court staff and court users to ensure access to service options and efficient risk assessments as required

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Strong experience in case management frameworks, including needs assessment in a human services setting
• Proven ability to lead, support and develop teams in an operational environment
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• An understanding of court processes and sentencing principles (desirable)
• An understanding of the operations and specialist functions of Victorian Drug Court (desirable)

A qualification in social work, human services, criminal justice or criminology—and relevant industry experience—is also desirable.
