About the role:
The Regional General Manager, CCS leads and manages the delivery of CCS services across CCS locations within the region, including providing services to regional courts and prisons.
The Regional General Manager will be based in Bendigo, however will work from and travel to locations within the region and manage the day-to-day operations of that CCS region, along with having direct line management responsibilities for the Managers across court, parole and post sentence and community work streams, including a number of other specialist positions.
The Regional General Manager is a member of a region's executive management team. In that capacity, the position has a significant role to play in providing strategic advice for the entire region and delivering strategic outcomes to address issues affecting the region and CCS as a whole.
Some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Prepare regional reports for senior management at an advanced professional level and resolve complex and sensitive issues.
- Ensure that Service Delivery Outcomes are met and that those activities are consistent with Justice Service instructions and legislative requirements.
- Provide leadership to staff, promote CCS' vision and regional strategic direction both internally and externally, and manage relationships and activities to appropriately meet stakeholder requirements.
About you:
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system and contemporary best practice in offender management within CCS.
- Expert understanding of and experience in best practice initiatives in relation to risk management and therapeutic work with high risk and complex individuals.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional operations and determining service delivery resource allocation.
- Ability to create a culture that supports and respects the individuality of others and recognises the benefits of diverse ideas and approaches; communicates well with, relates to and sees issues from the perspective of people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
