About the role

Drug Court Advanced Case Managers within CCS are responsible for case managing complex individuals with entrenched drug and alcohol dependencies who have been sentenced by the Drug Court division of the Magistrates Court to serve a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Order (DATO) in the community.

In this role, Drug Court Advanced Case Managers apply evidence-based practice and other theoretical and therapeutic frameworks to engage drug court participants through an intensive case management approach whilst monitoring compliance with order conditions. In doing so, this role supports participants to successfully complete their orders, while balancing risks to community safety.

In the role your accountabilities will include;

  • Deliver dynamic evidence-based practice in the case management of complex individuals with drug and alcohol related issues on drug and alcohol treatment orders (DATOs)
  • Motivate and influence participants in the case management process, modelling pro social behaviours and drawing on participant strengths.
  • Develop, manage and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Attend Court regularly to advocate for participants and update the multidisciplinary team on participant progress and to prosecute matters for CCS

About you

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a can-do attitude
  • excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours
  • Hold a non-judgemental approach, treating participants with respect as members of our community
  • flexible and adaptable with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 A relevant qualification in social work or related human services discipline (preferred) or criminal justice, criminology (desirable) with work experience in related field (desirable).
