Position Details
- Fixed term, full time role until 30 June 2028
- Help contribute to community safety by applying expert risk assessment practices
- Salary band of $91,971 - $98,955 plus superannuation
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
About the role:
As the Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officer, Bail and Remand Court (BaRC), you will work with a dedicated team of Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officers supporting the unique Bail and Remand Court service provided in the Magistrate's Court of Victoria and key stakeholders in the sentencing process.
The specialised Bail and Remand Court operates 8:30am to 9pm 7 days a week. Successful applicants will work a rotating roster involving evenings and weekends as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide timely, high quality, evidence-based advice to stakeholders
- Undertake an effective assessment of an individual's risk to community safety
- Effectively manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours
- Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines
About you:
- Experience or knowledge of court processes and prosecutions
- Demonstrated ability to provide human services in needs assessments and development of interventions
- Demonstrates confidence and clear communication working with clients and stakeholders
- Able to produce detailed reports and other documents efficiently
