Position Details
- Make positive changes to the lives of people in the justice system
- 3 x positions based in Dandenong or Cranbourne
- Receive comprehensive training when you commence and throughout your career
Make a real difference in people's lives while contributing to community safety.
Community Correctional Services (CCS), part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety, is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Case Managers. If you're passionate about rehabilitation but prefer a community-based role over a custodial environment, this could be the career for you.
CCS manages individuals on court orders, parole, and post-sentence supervision across Victoria. Evidence shows that, where appropriate, community-based rehabilitation is more effective than custody in reducing reoffending — and you'll play a key role in making that happen.
CCS South Region is currently recruiting for three positions, based in Dandenong and Cranbourne:
- 2 x Full-Time, Fixed-Term to August 2026 – Cranbourne
- 1 x Full-Time, Fixed-Term to May 2027 – Dandenong
About the role
As a Case Manager, you will:
- Supervise a caseload of individuals on statutory court orders
- Conduct risk assessments and develop case plans
- Deliver targeted interventions
- Address underlying causes of offending
- Support clients to meet court conditions
- Promote rehabilitation while maintaining community safety
You'll work with people from diverse and often complex backgrounds, holding them accountable while supporting positive behavioural change.
What's in it for you
- Competitive salary and generous leave
- Comprehensive training at commencement and throughout your career
- Clear performance and progression pathways
- Secondment and promotion opportunities
- Employee wellbeing support
- Corporate discounts and salary packaging options
What we're looking for
- Experience or understanding of case management practice
- Strong communication skills and confidence managing challenging behaviours
- Ability to model pro-social behaviour
- Commitment to rehabilitation and community safety
- Tertiary qualification in Criminology, Social Work or a related field (desirable)
