About the role

The Data Administrator (Spatial and ASpatial) is responsible for ensuring all Emergency Services Organisations and related Government Agency Data (including spatial) set requirements are processed, loaded and maintained in ESTA's Oracle and SQL database environments.

Key focus areas for this role include liaising with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data processing needs and managing the processing of their data into ESTA's Computer Aided Dispatch system.   You will also manage the rectification of incidents and process data in accordance with specified procedures and service levels.  You will be driven by continuous improvement and focus on the Service Development life cycle strategy.  This will include developing best practice tools and processes to assist ESTA and its Stakeholders in improving data delivery.

You will have

  • Completed Tertiary qualification in an IT stream or relevant experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with SQL Server Scripting and Oracle (mandatory)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience using GIS related software (eg. ESRI software suite)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with a focus on customer service is mandatory
  • ITIL Foundations qualification is desirable
