Position Details

ESTA is the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies and it partners with the agencies to improve service delivery to the community. It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES and manages the provision of advanced, operational communications for police, ambulance, fire services and the SES.  Its vision is to be a high-performing team trusted by the community and our partners to deliver the right emergency response. Its central goal is to save lives and prevent harm through speed and accuracy in emergency operations.

Due to the dynamic growth of our team, ESTA currently has an eight month, fixed term opportunity for an enthusiastic Contact Tracer Administration Support Officer to join our Health, Safety and Wellbeing team.

About the role

The Contact Tracer supports the mitigation of COVID-19 transmission across all ESTA centres by undertaking contact tracing interviews of impacted employees, ensuring that requirements and recommendations are communicated in line with ESTA's COVID-19 guidelines.   Information will be obtained, recorded and delivered with a high degree of accuracy and in line with government guidelines to support internal and external reporting requirements.

This role will also undertake administrative and project tasks supporting People & Culture and other Departments more broadly during quiet periods between contact tracing activities and COVID-19 surges.

About you

You are an experienced customer service professional with a proven ability to work collaboratively as well as autonomously and have the ability to work in a fast paced, time critical work environment. Additionally you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and effectively, presenting information in a clear, concise and articulate manner.
  • Proven ability to self-organise and exhibit initiative to manage workload
  • The ability to follow clearly defined processes with high attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
