Transport Data Analyst

The position of Transport Data Analyst forms a part of the Transport Analysis and Assessment branch in the Policy and Reform division within the Transport Group.
The Transport group works with the Minister for Public Transport and the Minister for Roads and Ports, and a range of agencies including Public Transport Victoria and VicRoads, to develop transport policies which support our state’s growth. The group’s divisions cover a range of areas including transport planning, ports and freight, emergency preparedness, major project development and transport property.
Reporting to the Manager, Travel and Outcomes, the Transport Data Analyst will assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of detailed transport data and information for the Information and Analysis Branch. The ongoing focus of the role will be to support the preparation and public dissemination of results from the Victorian Integrated Survey of Travel and Activity and other associated transport information.
To be successful in this role you will be a highly motivated, well organised team player. You will have exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels. Strong communication skills are vital to this role. A tertiary qualification along with experience with GIS, data science, statistics or data visualisation would be well regarded.
