About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Relations and Communications, you will be working in the heart of your local community, chatting with people from all walks of life by developing high quality communication materials and drive stakeholder relations for the Level Crossing Removal Project.

Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) are currently recruiting for a Senior Stakeholder Relations and Communications Adviser to work on a Level Crossing Removal Project located in the Western suburbs and the Car Parks for Commuters Project (based in Richmond). You will be the voice of LXRP with members of the public and local communities across Melbourne. You will work within a team where any given day you might find yourself:

  • Identifying issues from the public impacting the project and its community, working through them with the team and seeking positive resolutions
  • Engaging our local communities and working together with our construction project teams to deliver messages
  • Delivering clear, concise, and accurate communications of project activities and effective management of community and stakeholder issues
  • Writing content about the project for our website, social media, updates or community newsletters whilst assisting with the responses to media enquiries and events

The role is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary between $103,920 - $125,735 + superannuation. People that enjoy working from both the office (Richmond) and from home have the option to access our hybrid working arrangements – with some travel to construction sites when required.

  • You have strong written communication skills, knows social media and enjoys engaging new innovative opportunities to spread information different channels. You get your kicks by identifying opportunities which would be attractive to the eye!
  • You are well organised – there are lots of moving parts and stakeholders, so you need to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You are a supportive team player – you will be collaborating with your team and helping to resolve issues (when they arise) as a group.
  • You can demonstrate leadership and willingness - you take lead and get a kick out of developing others.
  • You will have a strong sense of purpose in helping the project deliver on transforming the way Victorians live, work and travel.
