The Level Crossing Removal Authority, exists for the purpose of expertly delivering infrastructure projects for the Victorian Government. Looking for a great opportunity to play an active role as the Director, Procurement and Assurance within the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA), one of the largest infrastructure projects in Victoria?


Reporting directly to the Director, Commercial and Legal you will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team across procurement, contract management, probity and internal audit and assurance. You will also provide strategic procurement and assurance advice and support to the Director, Commercial and Legal across the Authority. Your contribution will assist the LXRA by achieving high quality outcomes ensuring consistency and best practice, the development and delivery of procurement and category plans (with a focus on goods and services procurement), setting the approved directions and goals for all goods and services sourcing activities and ensuring the Authority's compliance and assurance activities are in line with relevant legislation, policies, procedure and guidelines.


Key to your application will be your extensive experience managing and leading a team to deliver best practice end-to-end goods and services procurement activity preferably within a major infrastructure project or public sector major project environment; proven experience in managing an organisation's internal audit and assurance functions; a sound awareness of contemporary and emerging best practice in procurement, internal audit, assurance, compliance and risk management and  established ability to successfully influence senior internal stakeholders.   Furthermore, you will possess the following personal attributes, acute attention to detail, extensive experience in people management, strong leadership skills to establish and foster a positive and pro-active team culture, highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively build, maintain and influence relationships with key stakeholders and negotiate effectively at senior levels.
