The position of Analyst – Economic Assessment forms a part of the Outcomes Performance and Evaluation Branch in Economic Strategy and Performance Division within the Strategy and Planning Group.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a team that is focussed on building capability and driving improvements in the economic assessment of policies and strategies in the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR). The team will play a major role in improving decision making to support achievement of the Victorian Government's economic development outcomes.  The team will also collaborate with the rest of the Strategy and Planning Group and DEDJTR to develop innovative solutions to complex economic issues.

The Analyst will provide advice on and undertake economic impact assessments of DEDJTR strategies and policies, including presentation of analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.

The position is well suited to experienced professionals with a background in economics, economic assessment and appraisal, public policy, and/or statistical analysis. Experience integrating economic impact assessment analysis in policy and econometric modelling are highly desirable.
