Business Manager

The Game Management Authority (GMA) is an independent statutory authority responsible for the regulation of game hunting in Victoria. It delivers programs to improve and promote sustainable and responsible hunting in Victoria.

The GMA is responsible for:

• issuing Game Licences and related testing;

• managing open and closed seasons for game species;

• enforcing game hunting laws and taking action against those who do not hunt legally; and

• educating and informing hunters on how to hunt legally and responsibly in Victoria.

Position Details

Business Manager

The position of Business Manager forms a part of the Office of the Chief Executive within the Game Management Authority.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide effective and efficient business and  operational support functions to the GMA, facilitating appropriate and robust governance and business systems, processes and procedures that enable the Authority to operate in accordance with its legal obligations and corporate responsibilities.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated skills in project management, analysis and procurement, as well as excellent written and communication skills.  Previous experience working in a similar role in the VPS is highly desirable and a tertiary qualification in commerce, business management or similar would be well regarded.
