Planning and Environment Manager

Melbourne Metro Rail Authority (MMRA) is the Victorian Government agency responsible for delivery of the $11 billion Metro Tunnel and the $1.6 billion Regional Rail Revival program including the Ballarat Line Upgrade. MMRA is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning approvals and the development of a project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder management, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning. On 27 June 2017, the Victorian Government secured Commonwealth funding to revive Victoria's regional rail network, including the creation of over 1,000 jobs in regional Victoria.

Position Details

The Planning and Environment Manager will ensure the compliance of contractors with environmental requirements and approval conditions services for the Melbourne Metro Rail Authority and provide environmental advice on issues in relation to environmental monitoring and compliance, in line with established internal policies, procedures and external regulatory frameworks, to enable MMRA to meet its environmental, business and statutory objectives.
