The Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) brings together many of the main drivers of economic development and job creation in Victoria. About the position

This newly created role within the Stakeholder Communications and Channels Division is responsible for delivering high level executive and administrative support to the Executive Director, Strategic Communications & Marketing. The Executive Assistant operates in a fast paced, complex environment, and undertakes email and diary management, preparation of agendas and supporting documentation, set up of audio-visual requirements for presentations, accommodation arrangements, and other tasks as directed. The Executive Assistant must exercise discretion, confidentiality, judgment and tact while interacting with senior executives and their assistants, external and internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors and colleagues across the department. The role is a fantastic opportunity to build your administrative career in a division focused on delivering high quality, high value communications solutions for an exciting department with oversight of many diverse portfolios.


About you

You will join our high performing team, bringing with you a wealth of experience in providing a high level of executive support services at senior management level. You will have exceptional organisational skills and use initiative to pre-empt the executive's requirements and provide effective solutions. You will be confident operating within a highly sensitive and fast paced environment.  You will be a professional team player with a can-do attitude, able to maintain composure and focus under pressure. You will have advanced computer skills and ideally be experienced in using government systems including Lotus Notes, Oracle, TRIM and MiBS.
