Position Details

Advisor, International Human Resources (HR)

  • Provide international HR advice and HR operations support
  • Part time, 3 days a week (Job share)
  • Fixed-term up to 3 years

Reporting to the Manager, International HR you will advise and coordinate HR operations for the Victorian Government Trade & Investment International network.

About Us

The International Human Resource (HR) team sits within the Employment, Investment and Trade's HR branch, providing expert advice and support to the Victorian Government Trade & Investment international network on all HR matters relating to locally engaged staff and Commissioners across 21 offices in 13 countries. This includes HR policy advice, remuneration, HR operational support, expatriate assignment administration, international employment conditions and contract administration.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, International HR, you will ensure that all international HR operations are delivered in a timely manner with accurate advice whilst ensuring compliance with international labour law. Accountable for coordinating all aspects of the employee lifecycle, you will  provide advice to locally engaged staff, International Commissioners and the International operations team.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have relevant HR tertiary qualifications and/or experience working in a HR environment.  With strong attention to detail, you will have the ability to follow direction, partner with senior stakeholders and display strong analytical and problem solving ability. Being flexible in nature, you will be able to work with ambiguity and deliver fit for purpose advice.
