Due to an impending retirement, the Department of Parliamentary Services will engage a replacement to fill the role of Executive Director, Property and Precinct (EO3).

This is a rare opportunity to join a forward thinking organisation summarised below:

About the Position

The Executive Director of Property and Precinct has portfolio responsibilities for building and maintenance works, capital works, security and catering services for the Parliamentary Precinct.

The role is also responsible for the security and property management services for 128 Electorate Officers. This includes sourcing appropriate locations, negotiating with landlords and members of Parliament and managing rent, property maintenance and related security issues. These properties are located throughout Victoria.

 

About the Department of Parliamentary Services

The Parliament of Victoria comprises of the Crown, represented by the Governor of Victoria, the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly.  Members of Parliament and their staff operate from 128 locations across Victoria. The Parliament is serviced by three departments, coordinated through the Parliamentary Executive Group (PEG) consisting of the Clerk of the Legislative Council, Clerk of the Legislative Assembly and the Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Services.

 

The Parliament of Victoria is accountable and responsible for the delivery of apolitical, professional and innovative services to support the work of the Victorian Parliament broadly categorised across four key areas:

(a)        to promote the highest standards of governance in the administration of the Parliament of Victoria;
