The Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA) was established in 2015 to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, including the elimination of 50 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2022. To date, 29 level crossings have been removed, 18 train stations have been rebuilt, new track has been laid, and three level crossing removals are now in construction. Aboriginal Employment and Skills Program Manager 

  • High-profile rail infrastructure project
  • Salary range ( VPS 6 ) - $116,863 - $156,387 plus superannuation
  • One full time, fixed term opportunity for up to 3 years

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced Aboriginal Employment and Skills Program Manager to join the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA), working on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Victoria's history.

Reporting to the Director, Industry, Capability and Inclusion the Aboriginal Employment and Skills Program Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing key strategy initiatives to drive and uplift the capability and inclusion outcomes for Aboriginal people on the Level Crossing Removal Authority's projects. 

Key to your application will be your demonstrated experience in co-designing, implementing and managing Aboriginal inclusion programs within a government, industry and community partnership environment.

Your strong ability to engage and work with marginalised and vulnerable cohorts, including advising on cultural and community engagement strategies, and strategies to increase Aboriginal self-determination will also ensure your success in this critical role.
