Media and Content Manager

The Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) is responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of the biggest transport infrastructure program in Victorian history. Key MTIA projects include the: • removal of 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne • Metro Tunnel to unblock the bottleneck in the city loop and free up space for more trains • West Gate Tunnel to provide a second river crossing for Melbourne • North East Link to complete the missing link in Melbourne’s orbital ring road • Airport Rail Link to connect Melbourne Airport to metropolitan and regional lines • Regional Rail Revival upgrade to every regional passenger line in Victoria • upgrade of suburban and regional roads, including 21 main roads in the outer suburbs. MTIA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation, comprising skilled and experienced staff across the various professional disciplines involved in transport infrastructureproject delivery. Led by the Director-General, it has five key groups: Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, the North East Link Project, Rail Projects Victoria and the West Gate Tunnel Project. The Minister for Transport Infrastructure is the responsible Minister for the projects which are developed and delivered by MTIA.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Media and Communications, the Media and Content Manager will be responsible for developing media and content strategies, messages and content in order to tell the overarching story of Victoria's Big Build. The role will work closely with project groups across MTIA as well as the Department of Transport to guide and oversee proactive media content and develop strategies for consistent, coordinated and seamless content across Big Build owned channels.
