About the Division The Public Engagement division are a strategic business partner providing best practice engagement via multiple channels to connect with the community, government and media to positively influence VicRoads' brand. They are a key part of projects and program development from conception to delivery.

About the Role
The Strategic Research Manager will report to and be supported by, the Head of Strategic Engagement within the broader Community and Stakeholder Engagement team. As the Strategic Research Manager, you will lead the strategic research and data collection of customer behaviour to leverage intelligence for strategic campaigns that will make a difference to the driving behaviour of Victorians.  

Working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders you will identify emerging systematic customer issues, drive positive behavioural change outcomes and implement strategies to deliver the strategic priorities of VicRoads. You will ensure effective knowledge management, research and forecasting mechanisms are in place to deliver input into road and corporate programs, projects and services.

About You
As the successful incumbent, you will hold demonstrated experience and technical skills in developing successful research programs, data collection and analysis.  You will use your exceptional research and analytical skills to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations that drive positive customer and community behavioural change outcomes.

You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to prepare quality written and visual materials including reports, briefs and proposals for a range of target groups.

Appropriate qualifications or significant experience in marketing, communications or research is favourable.
