Position Details

VicRoads' property portfolio is a complex combination of residential, commercial, vacant land, telecommunications and infrastructure assets spread across the state. The management of VicRoads' property portfolio requires specialised skills and knowledge in property, public land, road reserves and commercial real estate fields.

As a part of the VicRoads Land and Property Group the Telecommunication and Program Manager will be responsible to:

  • Ensure VicRoads' meets compliance and regulatory obligations as landowner with respect to all telecommunication infrastructure installed on VicRoads' land (Telecommunications Portfolio);
  • Administer and oversee VicRoads outdoor advertising program across the arterial and freeway road network (Advertising Portfolio);
  • Manage, mature and grow the Telecommunication and Advertising Portfolio; and
  • Investigate, develop and realise strategic, profitable property opportunities across the portfolio that return either commercial return to the state or community benefit.

We are seeking applications from those that possess:

  • A proven track record of successfully leading and managing commercial portfolios of telecommunication and/or advertising assets
  • A flexible, collaborative and creative mindset to identify, develop and deliver new opportunities across a large land/property portfolio
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutually successful outcomes
  • Analytical and Conceptual ability, including ability to develop solutions including creating of procedures for new processes.
