The Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) is responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of the biggest transport infrastructure program in Victorian history. Key MTIA projects include the: • removal of 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne • Metro Tunnel to unblock the bottleneck in the city loop and free up space for more trains • West Gate Tunnel to provide a second river crossing for Melbourne • North East Link to complete the missing link in Melbourne’s orbital ring road • Airport Rail Link to connect Melbourne Airport to metropolitan and regional lines • Regional Rail Revival upgrade to every regional passenger line in Victoria • upgrade of suburban and regional roads, including 21 main roads in the outer suburbs. MTIA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation, comprising skilled and experienced staff across the various professional disciplines involved in transport infrastructure project delivery. Led by the Director-General, it has five key groups: Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, the North East Link Project, Rail Projects Victoria and the West Gate Tunnel Project. The Minister for Transport Infrastructure is the responsible Minister for the projects which are developed and delivered by MTIA.

Position Details

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Video Production Manager and working within the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority's (MTIA) communications team, this position is responsible for supporting the production and editing of video content for all of the MTIA's digital communications channels, under the brand Victoria's Big Build.

This position will play a vital part in developing video content to inform and educate a diverse range of Victorians about the disruptions, benefits and outcomes of a huge range of transport projects including the Level Crossing Removal Project, Metro Tunnel Project, Geelong Fast Rail Project, West Gate Tunnel Project, Melbourne Airport Rail, North East Link Program, plus many more!

The successful incumbent will work closely with the Video Production Manager and internal project teams to deliver video content, covering all aspects from pre-production and filming to final edits within a corporate style guideline to ensure high quality, creative outputs. Key to success in the role lies in adopting a collaborative and innovative work approach, with strong problem-solving and technical skills in all aspects of video production.
