Position Details

The Communities & Climate Change Group provides programs and services to support community action to build a sustainable and prosperous future.  We partner with local government to enable sustainable communities and accelerate local government action; make sustainability easy for households; facilitate learning for lifelong sustainability; work with businesses to take action and create solutions for a sustainable future while catalysing action on climate change.

This position leads and manages a team co-located in Victorian State Government offices across the state to provide SV with a presence in and connection to regional Victoria. The team delivers regional and state-wide projects with stakeholders across Victoria and SV staff to achieve outcomes in climate change, resource efficiency and integrated waste management. It understands the unique needs of regional and rural Victoria and supports all SV divisions to connect, deliver and communicate effectively and enhance SV's reputation. It provides regional intelligence to inform SV program delivery and to better understand the regional context for delivering SV priorities. The team provides face to face, web based and over the phone delivery within regional Victoria to targeted stakeholders involved in delivering climate change, resource efficiency and integrated waste management outcomes.

Leading the Regions, Communities and Local Government team, you will develop and maintain constructive and productive relationships with staff at all levels across SV and with key representatives at the DELWP, business, and local government and community organisations. You will collaborate and influence across all program areas of Sustainability Victoria to identify opportunities to achieve our stakeholder and organisational objectives.
