An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Assistant Manager on a 12 month fixed term basis with the Sentence Management Branch within Corrections Victoria (CV).

The Sentence Management Branch, part of the Offender Management Division, is responsible for identifying prisoners’ needs and matching them to correctional resources with the objective of placing and managing prisoners appropriately. It is a process of balancing security, management and needs of the prisoners, the community need for protection and efficient and effective operation of the correctional system. The Sentence Management Branch is responsible for guiding the journey of offenders across the period of their sentence.


As the Senior Assistant Manager, you will report to the Manager Sentence Management Unit, Operations and will be responsible for the assessment, classification, sentence planning and sentence management of prisoners under the custody of Corrections Victoria.  Key to your success in this role will be your knowledge of Corrections Victoria policies, organisation, procedures and relevant legislation and regulations coupled with your ability to make decisions and provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders in a deadline driven environment.
