The position of Regional Manager Metropolitan forms a part of the Resources branch within the Rural and Regional Victoria group.

The Regional Manager, Metropolitan is responsible for delivering Earth Resources Regulation's compliance program for quarries, mines and other earth resources activities in the Melbourne Metropolitan region, in a manner that is commensurate with statutory requirements, proportionate to assessed risks, consistent and proactive.

The Regional Manager works closely with other regional compliance teams and co-regulators, in alignment with Earth Resources Regulation's Statewide Compliance Strategy and Annual Compliance Plan.

The highest level of professional integrity is required to underpin public confidence in the regulation of the State's earth resources.

The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the division

To be successful in this role you will experience and achievement in mining, quarrying, civil construction.  Demonstrated ability to provide high level advice and advanced influencing and communications skill are essential for this role.

A tertiary degree in mining, geotechnical or civil engineering, environmental science, natural resource management or other relevant discipline is mandatory for this role.
