Usual work location: The preferred location is initially Ellinbank then relocating to the new GovHub in Morwell in 2021.

The position of Native Title Coordinator forms a part of the Resources branch within the Rural and Regional Victoria group.

The position of Native Title Coordinator performs a key role within the Earth Resources Regulations unit, principally responsible for managing and coordinating the State's Earth Resources licensing regime as it complies with the provisions within the Commonwealth Native Title Act 1993, and the Victorian Traditional Owners Settlement Act 2010. The Earth Resources sector includes the petroleum, geothermal, carbon storage, mineral and extractive industries.

This position provides advice and support to guide industry understanding and awareness of legislative and procedural requirements and establishes relationships with key native title agencies, relevant Aboriginal community-controlled organisation's and Victorian Aboriginal Traditional Owner.
