Senior Advisor, Executive Services
- Salary: $109,730- $132,764(Plus Superannuation)
- Ongoing role, full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)
The Role
The Senior Advisor, Executive Services is a key member of the Talent Acquisition and Employment Pathways team, responsible for providing a comprehensive range of strategic and operational services to the Department's executive workforce. Providing high-level advice and solutions to Deputy Secretaries, the Senior Advisor provides a full range of specialist HR services across the employment lifecycle including recruitment, remuneration, contract management and capability development for all Executive Officer, Principal Scientist and Senior Technical Specialist level employees.
A critical component of this role will be working with the broader Talent Acquisition and Employment Pathways team on process improvement and service enhancements that delivers on the Department's strategy.
This role is responsible for providing advice to ensure diversity initiatives are met through best practice sourcing and assessment methods, including providing advice on how to proactively meet Aboriginal and disability employment targets, and close the gender pay gap.
The Team
The position of Senior Advisor, Executive Services forms a part of the People and Culture Branch within the Corporate Services Group.
Corporate Services actively supports Ministers and DJSIR portfolio groups to create the conditions for sustainable economic development for Victorian communities. The Group works collaboratively to deliver integrated and operational functions across the department, leading the development of governance, people, culture, systems, and capability.
People and Culture is a strategic, tactical, and operational function, supporting the achievement of the department's objectives by providing excellent service and trusted advice. It has a clear focus on adding value to the department by supporting the Executive Board to drive DJSIR's organisational culture through a range of strategies and initiatives.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of a range of human resource services.
- An excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and processes relating to Victorian Public Service employment and recruitment.
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with strong stakeholder management.
