  • $82,574 - $93,689 plus superannuation ($84,019 - $95,329 plus superannuation effective 1 January 2019)

This position resides in the Inspectorate Branch and performs several functions relating to the administration and enforcement of the Child Employment Act and the Long Service Leave Act. The successful applicant will have experience and expertise in communicating legislation and regulation to stakeholders, and, undertaking investigations and other compliance activities. A high demand workload requires someone with excellent organisational and time-management skills including the ability to juggle competing demands and to work cooperatively in a team environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Sound understanding of the industrial relations system in Australia, including demonstrated experience in the provision of advice and interpretation of relevant legislation and regulation to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking investigations, preferably related to compliance with industrial relations or employment regulation / legislation.
  • Well-developed problem solving, organisation and conflict management skills; recognises barriers and finds effective ways to deal with them.
