The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Financial Services within the Corporate Services group to drive innovation in financial business processes and service delivery.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director is a senior level role responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of user-focussed operational financial services to Department wide portfolios. You will oversee the provision of user support, business engagement on operational service delivery and delivery of financial management services. You will collaborate extensively and forge key partnerships with senior executive management of the department, portfolio entities, central agencies and other key stakeholders which are core elements of the role.

The successful candidate will be CPA or CA qualified and/or hold a relevant tertiary degree in accounting or business system applications. You will be a highly visible and proven people leader, who is engaging and proactive in driving creative continuous improvement solutions and innovations within a complex service environment. You have demonstrated experience in developing strong partnerships, relationships to take lead and influence.

Furthermore, you will possess a strong understanding of Oracle Cloud finance systems and integration with other resource management applications and strong understanding of contemporary public sector financial management and internal control strategies, frameworks and issues.
