As part of the Machinery of Government changes announced by the Premier of Victoria, from 1 Jan 2019 DEDJTR has transitioned into the Department of Transport (DoT) & the Department of Jobs, Precincts & Regions (DJPR). The position of Finance Manager will sit within the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR).

The role manages the finances for the Workplace Services team including capital works, rental and occupancy costs, plant and equipment, as well as recoveries for sub leases and services delivered. Diligence in establishing sound budgets, monitoring and managing risks and issues is required to be successful in this role, as is knowledge of construction projects and government procurement guidelines. The role has two direct reports.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Detail knowledge and understanding of government accounting, budget and contract management process to support facilities and capital project delivery in a government environment.
  • A degree in business, finance or accounting as well as CPA/CA qualification is required.
