Position Details

About the role                                                                      

Reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources Operations, the Learning and Development (L&D) Program Manager will have full carriage of the learning and development function.  You will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of high quality learning and development initiatives to build capability and cultivate a workforce of skilled, accountable, collaborative people who are adaptable to changing environments and supported to be their best.  With a very clear transformational agenda, fully backed by the VEC Executive, you'll have the opportunity to build on current L&D initiatives and programs, as well as identify and drive new, business sensitive programs that can really show what L&D can deliver.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end program delivery in areas such as capability and performance development, leadership development, employee engagement, change management, and knowledge transfer.  Over the next 12 – 18 months, you will responsible for the development and deployment of a new Capability Framework, a revised Onboarding Program and growth of the existing Leadership Development Program.  Whilst programs are in place, don't be afraid to challenge the status quo.

The successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will be innovative, employee focussed, with a passion for making things better.  Whilst demonstrated experience in the design, development and delivery of learning programs would be highly regarded, we would also be open to applications from forward thinking, L&D passionate professionals.  Success will require your strong planning and operations management skills with the ability to translate strategy into practical solutions. You will be proficient working with Learning Management Systems and eLearning solutions as well as intranet platforms, or have a strong learning agility to quickly pick up these skills.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Organisational Development, HR, or Business, or other related field.

Your strong stakeholder management skills and your ability to think strategically in the implementation of best-practice learning and development initiatives will ensure your success.
