Position Details

Senior Policy Analyst

  • $102,637 - $124,183 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term to 26 September 2022 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

Reporting to the Policy Manager, the key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Undertake complex analysis and prepare high-level briefings, research papers and correspondence.
  • Lead the implementation of projects addressing key agricultural and related issues and manage project evaluations.
  • Lead and supervise staff.
  • Link with networks and develop strategies to consult with and build support among key stakeholders for policy objectives.
  • Deliver high-quality work on time often under significant time constraints.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven high quality analytical skills in multi-disciplinary analysis along with experience in designing and successfully implementing projects which achieve required policy objectives and meet time, quality and budget requirements.  If you have a proven record of leading staff development and their work programs as well as high level written and verbal communication skills, then this is the position for you.

The position of Senior Policy Analyst forms a part of the Agriculture Policy branch within the Agriculture Victoria group.

Agriculture Policy designs and delivers evidence-based policy and programs, and provides advice to support agriculture industries grow, adapt to risks and respond to new opportunities.
