Technical Officer

The position of Technical Officer forms a part of the Recreational Fishing Improvements division within the Victorian Fisheries Authority.

The VFA is the Victorian Government's lead agency for managing Victoria's fisheries resources including aquaculture.

Reporting to the Program Manager – Fish Production and Stocking, you will provide technical, administrative and operational support to the Department's recreational fish production and liberation program.

To be successful in this role you will have an applied understanding of native and salmonid fish production practices and awareness of fish health considerations as well as well-developed computer skills and a demonstrated initiative and ability to participate within a team environment.  Well-developed interpersonal and  communication skills are vital to this role.
