Position Details

OFFICE COORDINATOR

  • $82,574 – $93,689 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Ongoing 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)

As Office Coordinator, you will provide high-level executive, administrative and project support to the Executive Director and the Policy team.  The role involves managing the Executive Director's office, liaising with the Minister's office, the DEDJTR Executive team, and key staff within DEDJTR. 

The responsibilities of this position include –

  • managing information and administration systems, including for Ministerial and Cabinet Briefings;
  • organising meetings, workshops and conferences and undertaking secretariat functions associated with these events;
  • ensuring that reliable systems and processes are in place to track all enquiries and requests for information;
  • demonstrating sensitivity and confidentiality while liaising within DEDJTR, stakeholders, industry and other government organisations;
  • coordinating and preparing sensitive documents and reports.

For appointment to this position, you will demonstrate –

  • experience in the provision of high level administrative, secretarial and executive support;
  • high level organisational skills;
  • well-developed written skills and the ability to present and prepare correspondence, reports and briefs on complex and sensitive issues;
  • well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with complex, confidential and sensitive issues;
  • ability to develop effective working relationships.

The position of Office Coordinator is part of the Agriculture Victoria Division's Agriculture Policy Branch in the Employment, Investment and Trade Group.

The Employment, Investment and Trade Group delivers programs and services to grow the Victorian economy.  Its focus is on creating jobs and raising incomes through industry development, targeted investment and increasing the export value of Victorian firms.
