The position of Program Manager Irrigation Services forms a part of the Biosecurity and Agriculture Services in Agriculture Victoria Branch within Employment, Investment and Trade Group.

The Employment, Investment and Trade Group delivers programs and services to grow the Victorian economy.  Its focus is on creating jobs and raising incomes through industry development, targeted investment and increasing the export value of Victorian firms.

The Program Manager Irrigation Services is responsible for leading the delivery of high quality and integrated services to the Victorian irrigated agriculture sector, to achieve economic growth and enhance sustainable natural resource management.

This position sits within Biosecurity and Agriculture Services (BAS) branch reporting to the Director Agriculture Services unit.  The position will form part of the Agriculture Services Leadership team and requires a person with exceptional leadership skills and a demonstrated commitment to collaboration. 

The successful candidate will have an appropriate tertiary degree in Agriculture, Science, Economics, Natural Resource Management or an equivalent qualification and a strong track record in program management and in the design and delivery of high quality practice change services to achieve investor and stakeholder outcomes. Very strong stakeholder management and engagement skills and an understanding of the opportunities and impediments associated with productivity growth and enhanced resource management is vital to the role.
