Livestock Industry Development Officer

  • $82,574 - $93,689 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term – 3 Years 
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Negotiable in the Northern Region

The position of Livestock Industry Development Officer forms a part of the Agriculture Victoria division, Biosecurity and Agriculture Services within the Employment, Investment and Trade group.

You will be responsible for the effective design and delivery of services and projects that support productive and sustainable farming systems. In the Victorian sheep and beef sectors, with a focus on the Northern region, you will develop and maintain competence in the technical areas required for this position including livestock production and nutrition, grazing/cropping management, farm planning and the use of agricultural models and wide array of other technical applications.

The successful applicant will work effectively as a member of a team to provide integrated services for our clientele, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the division, involving the provision of integrated services to producers, service providers, industry groups and regional stakeholders.
