We are the Level Crossing Removal Authority (LXRA); we deliver great change and transform the way Victorians live, work and travel. We were established in 2015 to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, including the elimination of 50 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne by 2022. To date, 29 level crossings have gone, 14 train stations have been rebuilt, and so much more is happening!

We are entering an exciting period as the organisation and the P&C function evolves. As part of this, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Manager, People Programs & Operations (PP&O) to join our dynamic People & Culture(P&C) team to continue the great work we do.

Position Details

Manager, People Programs & Operations

The impact you could make:

As a critical people and culture function, you will have a dual hatted role, being responsible for: 1) oversight of the efficient delivery of front line people policy and process advice and P&C administrative support to LXRA managers and employees and 2) oversee the implementation of cyclical people programs. Success for this role will see a significant positive shift in the employee experience and engagement through the efficient and effective delivery of P&C advice, administration and people programs. A portion of this role includes working with various members in the People & Culture team to recommend enhancements and continuously improve people processes and programs. Empowering and encouraging the PP&O team to explore opportunities to add value and have an improvement focus, using data, information and feedback to identify and escalate trends to input to P&C process and system enhancements.

About you:

Key to your application will be your experience leading high-performing teams and coaching individuals for success. You will have solid experience in P&C Operations or a strong P&C generalist background and preferably Organisational Development & Training. To be successful in this role, you will also have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain working relationships. You will be curious, a problem solver and employee experience / service driven. Stand out candidates will have a strong track record implementing operational efficiency/continuous improvement programs and experience leading and driving change initiatives.
