Position Details
Senior Policy Officer
- Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term until 30 October 2025
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Role
As Senior Project Officer in the Policy, Strategy, Talent and Migration Branch of the Industry, Trade and Investment Group you will assist in the development and delivery of regulatory reform initiatives that help Victorian businesses to establish, invest and grow.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are limited to:
- Working with colleagues in the Policy and Regulatory Reform team to deliver regulatory reform initiatives.
- Facilitating delivery of regulatory reform initiatives directly with councils.
- Identifying areas for regulatory reform that will better support the environment for businesses to establish, grow and invest in Victoria.
The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the Policy and Regulation Reform (PRR) team within the Policy, Strategy, Talent and Migration Branch
The PPR team delivers targeted industry-focused reform projects and coordinates DJSIR's input into the broader whole of government Regulation Reform program. The team works closely with businesses and industry to ensure their perspective on key regulatory pain points are considered and is responsible for coordinating overarching advice to relevant DJSIR Ministers on key regulatory reform opportunities.

As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing policy advice to support business growth.
- A track record in building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
