An exciting opportunity exists with Corrections Victoria for a senior contract manager to work with our Prisoner Transport Contract team.


About Us

Corrections Victoria operates Victoria's adult corrections system, including Community Correctional Services across more than 50 locations, and manages 11 public prisons and oversees two privately operated prisons.  It ensures prisoners are safely and securely contained and aims to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

The Business Services Division provides Corrections Victoria (CV) Head Office with high quality and timely business support services in the areas of Grants and Procurement, Contract Management, Finance and Accounting, Asset Management services and IT support.

The Contract Management Branch (CMB) is responsible for managing a number of major private prison and prisoner transport contracts including oversight of the smaller contracts and grants managed within other areas of CV head office. The Branch is also responsible for the delivery of procurement services and advice to CV Head Office and Regions.

The Prisoner Transport Contract team is responsible for the complete administration, analysis and performance monitoring of the prisoner transport contract on behalf of CV, Victoria Police and Youth Justice.


About the role

Reporting to the Deputy Director, Commercial Contract Management, the General Manager, Prisoner Transport Contract, is responsible for leading effective and efficient administration of CV's contract management obligations in relation to the prisoner transport contract. Identification and risk mitigation is a high priority for this role.

The General Manager is responsible for managing the Prisoner Transport Contract team and ensuring the administration of the prisoner transport contract, including analysing and reporting on performance of the contract.


About you

As our ideal candidate, we are seeking a motivated individual, with extensive experience in the management of service contracts, and the ability to prepare comprehensive reports including commercial and contractual analysis.

You will have experience in contract administration for Public Private Partnerships and the ability to provide commercial advice. An understanding of the Corrections environment and the issues impacting prisoner transportation would be highly regarded.
